What is a VNA forklift?
Mar 04, 2023VNA forklifts, also known as three-way pallet stackers or turret trucks, are mainly used in intensive storage warehouses. Unlike electric reach trucks and electric counterbalanced forklifts, VNA forklifts can quickly move back and forth in tight spaces, completing stacking operations with extreme precision. They are designed to work in tight, highly dense warehouses with high inventory levels and very high levels.
Types of VNA Forklifts
VNA forklifts can be divided into two main types, Man Down VNA forklift and Man Up VNA forklift . The Man down type can be divided into two basic types: stand on type VNA forklift and seated type VNA forklift, and their working principle is very similar to that of traditional forklifts. The operator remains on the ground as the mast and forks move up and down. This type of forklift is mainly used in warehouses where the shelves are not too high and not easily damaged. When the Man Up forklift is working, the operator and the forks move up and down with the mast. This type of forklift has good visibility and the person operating the forklift can move with great precision and move goods quickly.
Why do VNA forklifts perform better than regular forklifts in warehouses?
The aisles in the VNA warehouse are approximately 1.7m wide, which provides a 25% increase in storage space compared to a non-VNA warehouse. Compared with the traditional racking system, the racks of the VNA warehouse are more dense and have a higher floor height, which can increase the storage space by about 50%. VNA forklifts offer three advantages over conventional forklifts when used in warehouses. They are speed, accuracy and loading space respectively. Speed: VNA machines can be equipped with tracks or electromagnetic systems designed to help them move as quickly as possible, even in narrow aisles. This means users can move products and complete palletizing jobs faster. Precision: Because turret forklifts can operate in extremely tight spaces and rotate their forks 180°, they place pallets on racks very precisely. This is especially true for Man Up forklifts, as the operator can closely monitor the position of all pallets. Loading space: VNA forklifts mean rack spacing can be adjusted to accommodate more product while reducing wasted space for vehicle movement. Loads can also be stacked higher with a VNA forklift than with many other more traditional forklifts. This means that vertical and horizontal space in the warehouse can be utilized to the maximum.
VNA forklifts can also be used in conjunction with articulated forklifts to maximize productivity.
